The cottage is perched on a ridge overlooking the endless ocean water, stretching far into the horizon. The cottage is perfect for families who love swimming and relaxing on the 1,300 sq ft patio. Due to its southern exposure and 270 degree wrap around porch, staying at Thatch Bay Cottage allows you to view captivating sunrises and sunsets that fuse the water into the sky when the ocean's surface is glass. Offer yourself and your guests a beautiful opening and closing to your adventure filled days while on vacation.

Our expert local property management teams can assist you with any aspects of your stay including, but not limited to: grocery delivery, chefs and local caterers, rental vehicles, excursions (such as visiting the swimming pigs!), babysitting services, fishing recommendations, and any other local recommendations or assistance you need. They have a wealth of knowledge about the island and are committed to ensuring you enjoy all Exuma has to offer - hassle free.

Important things to know when planning a trip to Exuma:

• Renting a car is highly recommended. Almost all of our guests rent cars for the duration of their stay and it is the best and easiest way to explore the island. Additionally, Exuma is unlike other islands - golf carts are not a typical form of transport on the main roads.

• Protect yourself from the unpredictable. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip that protects against any unexpected travel disruptions or delays. We’d be happy to recommend specific providers.

• Thinking of a boat rental? Boat rentals on Exuma are typically daily rentals only (no overnights). Therefore, it may not be necessary to pick your house based on the presence of a dock. If you’re bringing your own boat and your property doesn’t have a dock, please identify your closest Marina (beginning of description).

• Plan ahead: Restaurant reservations are recommended for peak seasons, particularly for large groups!
